Edu intelligence vs...public ai platforms
"Our staff already use ChatGPT, CoPilot, Gemini or Claude. Why do we need another AI platform?"
This is a great question. Imagine you want to hire a new senior leader and you have 2 candidates:

An education expert who is education first and only. It deeply understands the sector, the policies, and data security. Its real time understanding of your group or school cannot be found in CoPilot, Claude, or Gemini. Our AI never sees any of your student, parent, or staff identifiable data.
CoPilot, ChatGPT (or any public AI) is Option B.
A generic AI tool that needs to be re-taught every time it’s used. It does not have access to your school’s data stream (or its security), and it can only provide stock answers.

Commercial AI is great at writing template letters to parents. Copilot makes your team more productive in Word, Excel, and Teams. Claude is strong at document analysis and production.
But those are not the only challenges Edu Intelligence is designed to solve.
- Shadow AI and exposure of sensitive data. Uploading pupil-level data (names, UPNs, SEND status, FSM, ethnicity, safeguarding notes) to a consumer AI tool is a security incident waiting to happen.
- LLMs like ChatGPT do not connect to school data systems - no MIS/SIS, no assessment platform, no behaviour logs, no attendance data. Every analysis you want to do with it requires manual data export, upload, and re-prompting.
- Every conversation with a public AI starts from zero. You can't track trends over time or compare this half-term to the last one.
- Hallucination risk is high for data analysis. ChatGPT will confidently produce plausible-sounding statistics that may be fabricated. A school leader without data expertise may not spot the errors.
- No stakeholder feedback surveys, no document intelligence, no benchmarking, no role-based access is included in commerical tools.
